ISO 22000:

  • Applicable to primary producer / Food Manufacturers / Transport & Storage Operations / Retail & Food outlets etc.
  • Addresses the issues concerning Food Hazards in entire Food Chain -i.e from receipt of raw material to the final stage of Human consumption, in manufacturing / Process industry as well as Agriculture including usage of pesticides and its effect.
  • Replaces / Extends the scope of HACCP - i.e. Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points & PRPs as per Codex Alimentaries commission.
  • Future more, the standard also stipulates that the organization be ready for any Emergency situation due to contamination of the product which becomes unsafe for human consumption.
